about
I wrote this song back when i was living in San Francisco and playing in a Band called Two Headed Dog. this version grew out of me and my friend Ethan jamming a waltz version of on my porch. slowly it grew into a full band production but still has a little of that porch feel.
lyrics
GRAVITY. music and lyrics Kevin Meade
When I've been drinking gravity plays with me spinning me round till I don't know up from down
We've been such friends since I was a child only thirteen years old i learned to see gravity.
I’ve been a fool wrapped in my vanity, its like an old skin thats getting too tight for me
I need a friend to come down and free me. To come down and cut my chains so i wont care anymore
When will I see you again.
Ive been let down so many times that it feels just like home cause theres nothing left to fear.
Sadness and pain have become so familiar they're like an old lover who crawls up and whispers in my ear
When will i see you again.
Its two AM the girl sitting next to me left hours ago and asked me to come along
I’d rather be alone. Wrapped in my tragedy, wrapped in this city night. Just me and Gravity
When will i see you again
